This letter is something I've been wanting to write for quite awhile now. I've put it off because I wanted it to be absolutely perfect. It's still not perfect, but here goes anyway.
Dictonary.com describes best friend as "a person's closest friend". Yourdictionary.com describes best friend as "a person who you value above other friends in your life, someone you have fun with, someone you trust and someone in whom you confide. The first person you call when you get good news or want to go out for a bite to eat is an example of your best friend."
Hannah, you are so very much more than that to me. You are my best friend. You've helped me through some of the most difficult times of my life. You helped me make some tough decisions. You've been by my side through so much. I don't say it often enough, but let me just say...I love you.
There are some things you're going through right now. I won't get into it here, but I see it. I want to remind you how strong you are. There are so many things you've already gone through, and you've kept your head up through it all. You've pushed through it and come out all the tougher.
You are so beautiful, inside and out. You are an amazing wife and one of the best mothers I know. I hope if I ever am blessed enough to have children, that I can be half the mom you are.
You're a wonderful sister and daughter too. I know your siblings and I know they'd all agree with me saying that you always go above and beyond to help them and be there for them. Your mom would agree in saying that you do the same for her.
You are so intelligent. You always come up with the most logical solutions to any and every problem. You know your history like no one else I know. And you are so schooled on politics, it makes me ashamed how little I myself know.
You are extremely talented. Your house is simply beautiful. And your toy room? Why haven't you blogged that yet? I guarantee Better Homes and Gardens, or HG, or any other magazine would publish it in a heartbeat! It's amazing! (There's another one!)
You're a terrific neighbor. I've seen you go above and beyond from throwing baby showers, to making sure your neighborhood is safe.
You are so involved in your children's lives. Through every thing they may say or do, they truly are amazing (again!) children and it's a total reflection of you. You help with homework, play with them, sing with them, take them fun places, read with them, and on and on and on.
I'm going to stop here. I could continue, but this would be the world's longest blog post. I think so very highly of you and I am so very thankful you're in my life. You've made me a better person and I hope I can one day be half as good a friend to you as you've been to me.
You are strong, you are intelligent, you are beautiful, you are creative, you are funny, you are tough...YOU ARE HANNAH, and I love you!
